Saw her show on Saturday. The gig was excellent. The audience was with her the entire show. The first set was like a meditation. It remained cool and peaceful but sceneted heavily with that good jazz aroma... It was aromatic! Then at the end of the set she burst out with lungs like a powerhouse. The audience was enchanted; they never took their eyes off her, they clapped and applauded all night long with appreciation. The band was very talented. It was nice to hear some good musicians.

Thes econd set I didn't get a chance to see but I heard Bay Area photographer Jim Dennis was in the house. He got up out his chair and numped and grinded, and the audience went wild. It gor raucous! I MISSED it!

As Anna de Leon eloquently stated, when she first heard Lady Mem'fis sing, she could not believe that she was hearing an artist with such an enormous talent who was not world renowned. It is a rare opportunity to hear vocalists of her caliber sing in an up-close and intimate setting these days. You biiiiiiiig bucks to hear and see them.

If you see her name, go see her. You won't be disappointed.
