Rethinking Plastics Workshop

When: Tue., June 24, 7 p.m. 2008
Price: free

Plastic permeates our modern environment. Cheap but nonbiodegradable, it's infinitely convenient but also an ecological nightmare. At the Ecology Center (2530 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley) on Tuesday, June 24, a Rethinking Plastics Workshop includes a film, slide show, displays of alternative substances, and a problem-solving discussion about plausible ways to stem the current assault by plastic packaging and building materials on people, animals, parks, streets, drains, and waterways. 7 p.m. EcologyCenter.org
