With Resident Evil: Extinction, the Resident Evil franchise has now produced three zombie movies short on inspiration, but high on girl-on-monster violence. In other words, Milla Jovovich, who plays the genetically enhanced ex-commando Alice, continues to kick a lot of ass while doing very little else that should interest anyone other than those who liked actually having their digits control the character in the video game series. This time around, she has director Russell Mulcahy of Highlander fame to help her Matrix-fu look even cooler, which, A, doesn't help and, B, is the real tragedy here when you consider the heights Mulcahy's career should have reached.
