Re: “I am Annoyed and Disappointed

I've done the Landmark Forum. It was interesting and useful. I recommend it to some friends, but I tell them to do it and get out. The Forum, like any other religion or philosophy (or substance, or repetitive behavior) can inspire some folks to stop thinking for themselves and integrating the transformation into their daily lives. This is what creates the 'cult' aspect. Some folks do this 'seminar', or get baptised, or have this psychedelic experience, and think it makes them 'improved' so much that they think others are inferior until they are also 'improved.' Sadly, this arrogance infects many Forum participants and staff, but there are others who don't get sucked into the vortex of intolerance that seems to be the unspoken-about baggage of most enlightenment games. They are the ones who can really enjoy the transformation that may be available to them, and, at the Forum, it's usually the ones who don't swallow the whole pill.
It's too bad that Cafe Gratitude (stupid name, BTW) chose to thumbscrew their employees rather than empower and accept them. And what foolish business owners would subject their employees to this type of outside-the-labor-law pressure?
Doesn't anyone else remember when Scientology killed the wonderful Cocolat? Same story: Creepy cultist managers used staffing as recruitment vehicle.
If the owners want to get good performance out of their staff, they should provide all of them with consistency, integrity, and equal opportunity. This is a business, after all. They need to get the cult out and stop discriminating. After that, they should change the name and make the food more appealing.
