The National Institute of Art & Disabilities (NIAD) in Richmond opened its archives to a group of Bay Area art folk assembled by artist/curator Timothy Buckwalter. Included were artists John Casey, Cliff Hengst, Helena Keeffe, Mike Monteiro, Lisa Solomon, Mark Taylor, CananTolon, and John Zurier, writer DJ Heidi De Vries, galleristKimberly Johansson, and curator Philip Linhares. Among the eighty-plus pieces that they selected, nicely installed, salon-style, are: untitled works in various media (pencil, pastel, ink, marker, acrylic, and yarn on paper, canvas and wood) by Willie Harris, Shirley How, David Martin, Marlon Mullen, Rosita Pardo, Maurice Stratford, Donald Walker, Susan Wise, Kern Wolfingden, and Kim Wralstald; plus Jean McElvane's pastel on paper, "Solar System & Earth;" MetriusEnglin's pastel and acrylic on paper, "Baseball;" and Alice Wong's mixed media on paper, "Alice Sweetheart."
