Yes, let's also not forget that these are still doctors who are providing valuable patient care services to children. The hospital could not function without them and if there were no residents there it would cost the hospital at least twice as much money to replace them with other health care providers, including attending physicians. They have all finished medical school and many of them are saddled with six-figure debt. Yes, they are still training but they are young professionals not untrained novices. And who cares that some transit workers went on strike -- these doctors had nothing to do with that.
