TV personality Laura McIntosh will be at the Raiders' official tailgate party this Sunday at the Oracle Arena, taping an episode of her farm-to-table food show Bringing It Home.

Before Sunday's game, Chris Lilly — award-winning official tour pitmaster of the Keith Urban Escape Together World Tour and honorary James Beard Foundation chef — will demonstrate how to use fresh, local ingredients in tailgate-party repasts.

“As a lifetime football fan, I know the importance of actually being able to enjoy the game with your family rather than spending the whole day in the kitchen,” said McIntosh, who grew up in the tiny San Joaquin County farm town of Linden, population just over 1,000. “We are so excited to welcome Chris Lilly to the show to teach out viewers easy-to-create gourmet tailgate favorites that won’t keep them on the sidelines.”

McIntosh is spending today at the Ranch Brothers' Farm in Salinas, taping two episodes of her show, which airs every Sunday morning on Oakland's KTVU-Channel 2. Tomorrow she'll be in Modesto with three East Bay chefs, doing a shoot whose footage will be used in three episodes. One of these episodes will have an Oktoberfest theme and will feature Chef Peter Kahl of Alameda's Speisekammer. Another episode will have a "hearty meals" theme and will feature Chef Dean Dupuis of Oakland's Picán. The third will be a Thanksgiving episode and will feature Chef Josh Thomsen of the Meritage Restaurant at the Claremont Hotel & Spa. They'll all demonstrate ways to use farm-fresh ingredients in easy-to-make family meals.

On Sunday in Oakland, Alabama-based Lilly will be using a charcoal grill to prepare "Linebacker Barbecued Potatoes" and bratwurst with chow-chow, the South's tomatoey-peppery answer to cole slaw.

“Tailgating on a charcoal grill is just as much a part of football as the opening kickoff,” Lilly said.

The tailgate episode will air on October 10.
