Re: “Historic Federal Summit on Medicine Marijuana Is Slanted By Drug War Agenda

Yesterday was a horribly skewed presentation with crazy new findings that somehow ONLY the NIH is pulling out of their magic hat box. Somehow, suddenly, cannabis went from being basically about as addictive as caffeine and definitely less addictive than alcohol, to 30% of folks having a cannabis use disorder. Suddenly cannabis is not viewed as a harm reduction tool, but as a compounding factor in addiction. It is very sad that so much (of our own very tax) money is being pumped into cannabis research on rats and other longitudinal studies that are done poorly with small number of participants. Also, sad to say that the NIH has no problem with calling the plant "marijuana", despite obviously knowing that there are racial undertones to that term.
