Peking Acrobats

When: Fri., March 21, 8 p.m., Sat., March 22, 2 & 8 p.m. and Sun., March 23, 3 p.m. 2008
Price: $24-$46

It's a trick you might have seen over and over again, but it always makes your stomach do hairpin turns: Six acrobats erect a makeshift "pagoda" by stacking six chairs and then balancing on them upside down, fists clenching the chair slats while the whole thing lists precariously forward. Gets you every time, doesn't it? Witness such formidable contortions and gravity-defying moments when the Peking Acrobats return to UC Berkeley's Zellerbach Hall this weekend, Friday, March 21 through Sunday, March 23, to regale petrified audience members with high-wire bicycling, wire walking, jar juggling, hoop diving, nose balancing, or whatever else suits their fancy. On Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. $24-$46.
