Re: “It’s Time for San Francisco to End Its Hypocrisy Toward Water

Both the Olympic Club and the San Francisco Golf Club utilize recycled water. Currently, SFPUC has plans to continue to expand the use of recycled water around the City. SFPUC has numerous presentations outlining the expansion of RW, including a new recycled water treatment plant at the Oceanside WPCP. In addition, Harding Park and Fleming Golf Course RW projects are scheduled for completion this year!

As for Rain Water Harvesting, rain falls in the winter in SF. We need water in the summer. The problem with capturing rain water is storage and the energy needed to maintain temperature and ensure adequate oxygen. Perhaps that is why most Bay Area cities have no or limited rain water harvesting incentives for residents.

Journalist? Doubtful.
