Paella Fiesta

This weekend, head to Dashe Cellars in Oakland for its 10th annual Paella Fiesta. Dashe Cellars has been producing wine since 1996, and the winery strives to make wine that reflects the flavor produced by local soil by using traditional, natural winemaking techniques. You’ll be able to sample nearly every wine currently on offer, such as a 2016 Grenache, a 2016 Methode Champenoise sparkling wine, a 2017 Chenin Blanc, a 2016 Old Vine Zinfandel, and a 2016 Petite Sirah. Guests will also have the opportunity to taste a couple of barrel samples throughout the night. And, of course, there will be paella from Gerard’s Paella — in classic, vegetarian, and squid ink-tinged seafood varieties. Top off the night with entertainment from live flamenco guitarists and dancers. Be sure to buy tickets online in advance — the Saturday event in particular tends to sell out.
