Within two months of its splashy opening, this contemporary Japanese eatery established itself as O Town’s sleek new locus of power dining. The concept (sushi and robata bars, fusion mains, and a pumping lounge) hews closely to its San Fran sibling, with one exception: Here, in a vast Uptown corner space, the emphasis is on izakaya, traditional sake-bar small plates. That’s good news for inveterate grazers and the budget-conscious alike: You can hang out at the roomy oak bar, in high-style surroundings, for a happy hour that starts at 4 p.m. and ends at 7. Don’t miss the meaty morsels from the charcoal-fired robata.

Hours: Mon.-Fri. 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Mon.-Thu. 5-10 p.m., Fri.-Sat. 5-10:30 p.m.
