I agree with "neutron" with his assessment of Perata's "anything to win" strategy and will be highly disappointed should he, but I completely don't understand the assessment that Quan's "presence was non-existant (sic)". In fact, until some of that late money was thrown in to the race in Rebecca's favor, I hadn't seen much of a presence at all of her. Mind you, I didn't go into downtown very often. My life for the last few months has encompassed the Laurel to Montclair to the Airport and the Fruitvale... basically from the hills to the flats. And (at least visibly) I was overwhelmed by the amount of signs in support of Quan's candidacy.

As for what the possibilities might be, I for one favor anyone other than Perata. Let's hope that the electorates results turn out that way.
