According to the Trib , OakPAC chair Michael Colbruno says he’s thinking about reinstating the group’s old spending plan since District 2 council candidate Aimee Allison’s supporters have dumped more than $31,000 into the race. OakPAC spent $26,000 on Councilwoman Pat Kernighan’s behalf before agreeing to close its wallet at Mayor-elect Ron Dellums’ urging. But now Colbruno is having second thoughts. The political arm of the chamber of commerce had planned to spend at least another $32,000 selling Kernighan to voters. “They reopened the door – and now have no right to criticize us,” Colbruno told the Trib.
