Oakland Symphony Season Opener: Devil's Radio

Fri., Oct. 2 2015
Oakland Symphony opens its season October 2 at 8 pm at the Paramount Theatre with the West Coast premiere of Devil's Radio by one of the Bay Area’s favorite composers, Mason Bates, and the debut of sensational young violinist Kenneth Renshaw performing Prokofiev’s 2nd Concerto. The evening also features Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes with the Oakland Symphony Chorus celebrating Chorus Director Lynne Morrow's 10th anniversary and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances.

Make an evening of it with pre-concert entertainment and drinks in the lobby, and an engaging artists' talk beginning at 7 pm, informal intermission chats with musicians.
