Head to the scenic Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Ascension and immerse yourself in a weekend of Greek-themed fun. Enjoy Greek dance performances from groups of all ages and learn a few dance moves yourself. Plus, enjoy live Greek music from bands featuring bouzouki virtuosos and renowned vocalists. Don’t miss the food stands selling souvlaki, gyros, and roasted lamb, plus saganaki — a slice of cheese that’s grilled and flambéed with brandy. For dessert, the loukoumades — bite-size pastries resembling donut holes, served hot and topped with honey and nuts — are not to be missed. There’ll also be church tours, cooking demonstrations, and choir performances. Ages 12 and under are free, plus admission is free for all Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sunday from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Get tickets on Eventbrite or purchase tickets at the door.
