Notes from Mexico at Paramount Theatre!

Fri., March 27 2015
On Friday, March 27, Oakland East Bay Symphony will present “Notes from Mexico”, featuring some of the most popular symphonic works by Mexico’s major 20th-century composers, including the country’s lively unofficial second national anthem, Huapango.

Guest artists include award-winning young pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, playing the spectacular and rarely performed Piano Concerto of Carlos Chávez; rising Latin singer/songwriter Diana Gameros with soulful songs from her native land; and dancers from the Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno.

Pre-concert talk at 7:00 pm.
