The co-founder of the Berkeley Disaster Preparedness Neighborhood Network presents a lecture and workshop on how to prepare for a natural disaster such as an earthquake or large fire, including family disaster plans, supplies needed and how to accumulate them, household evacuation plans, turning off utilities, acting as a first responder until help comes, and what to expect from disaster agencies in the immediate aftermath and in the recovery process.
