Self-promotion alert: The Express is partnering with Noise Pop for a live taping of “Noisemakers,” which is the bad-ass music company’s flagship podcast. The occasion will be only the second time that Noise Pop’s done an episode in front of actual human beings, this time going down at Starline Social Club in Oakland. (Preferably, these lovely humans will attend with alcoholic libations in their hands, after generously tipping bartenders, natch). Adrian Spinelli will host the evening, and there are of course local music-scene guests: R&B vocalist Xiomara (pictured), local talent Madeline Kenney, and rapper-producer 1-O.A.K. Final thought: This will be a fun night to celebrate local music, unpack the issues that matter to artists and industry folk in the Bay — and get a good buzz going.
