Berkeley poli-sci expert Charles Ferguson made this compelling Iraq documentary with his own money. With the help of numerous policy-wonk talking heads, Ferguson lays out exactly what went wrong (and when, and how) with the US-led adventure that began with the 2003 invasion of Iraq -- and the cumulative effect of witnessing the mistakes all over again is both frustrating and strangely reassuring, despite the film's ominous title. It appears to be that rare commodity, the truth. Not likely to ever be screened at the George W. Bush Library, Ferguson's calm, professional critique of the Bush administration�s ruinous foreign policy deserves to stand with the very best of what will undoubtedly become a large filmography devoted to one of America�s dirtiest wars.
