How to drain all the wonder out of a setting: Send Ben Stiller and an army of CGI critters through a second round of slapstick “educational” kiddie-show hijinks, this time with perennial night watchman Stiller in cahoots with Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams). A clear case of diarrhea of the diorama, co-starring a galaxy of once-interesting actors including Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Hank Azaria (bad Boris Karloff imitation), Christopher Guest, and inevitable Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt. The series feels like it’s been around forever. Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon wrote the screenplay. Directed by Shawn Levy (105 min.).
