Shouldn't you listen to a cd before reviewing it?? I think the cover art perfectly illustrates the album's themes of chaos, isolation, acquisitiveness, and the deterioration of culture. If we must fixate on the cover art, one could easily posit that the splotches of paint on the back are the occupants of the ghost-like apartments in Quiet Homes. Perhaps they are the things that should not be saved in Good Nature. Or even a painting on the dentist's ceiling. "Plug in" is a wonderful commentary on the media we consume like zombies--plugging in to the nothing. This cd is funny, disturbing, cacophonous, and melodic. This cd is the soundtrack of the current state of American culture.
