Tough to beat The Coup's new video, but these local acts are worthy of a few minutes of your work day.

Warm Soda — "Jeanie Loves Pop”
Warm Soda invades the bedroom of a Sixties suburban teen queen in its video for the power pop track "Jeanie Loves Pop." Catch the band at Brick & Mortar on Thursday, June 27 before it embarks on an international tour, and keep an ear out for new songs, which frontman Matthew Melton said are shaping up to be “way more musical — lots of acoustic guitars and cellos, even violins.”

Sage The Gemini — Gas Pedal ft. IamSu

The term “viral” gets thrown around a lot these days, but the 1,103,803 YouTube views on Sage The Gemini’s video for “Gas Pedal” makes it, yes, mindbogglingly viral. The arty, noir-influenced video is as eerily calm and sexy as the track’s thick and frothy beat.

B. Hamilton — “Didn't I?”

Is that Ryan Christopher Parks under those sunglasses, shadows, and trippy colored lights? Hey man, when is the new B. Hamilton dropping? Until then, we have the psych-blues screamer “Didn't I?” to tide us over.

100s — “1999”

The Berkeley rapper 100s returns with the pimp persona he established on last year’s Ice Cold Perm — this time, Nineties-style. In the video for “1999,” 100s struts around in a scarf, his long hair blown back as he raps, while his three dancers work it like TLC circa 1995. There’s also an explosion, in case the “suck my dick up on the dance floor” verse didn't give us a clue that the song is about sex.
