Saturday, September, 23, 2017 New Traditions: Korean Cultural Week Launches at MCAM 2:00–6:00PM, Art Museum MCAM and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco present a day of family friendly Korean arts workshops lead by exhibiting artists Miran Lee and Kay Kang. Workshops will be followed by a performance with internationally renowned haegeum musician Soo-yeon Lyuh in collaboration with critically acclaimed musicians William Winant (percussionist), Fred Frith (instrumentalist), and Joan Jeanrenaud (cellist and founding member of Kronos Quartet) performing a free improvisation of John Cage’s FOUR6.
