National Novel Writing Month Celebration

When: Sun., Dec. 9, 5:30 p.m. 2007
Price: free

Ready, set, pontificate! A Dec. 9 party at Black OakBooks (1491 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley) features recent participants in National Novel Writing Month -- an experiment in the instantaneous exuding of epics -- feted by acclaimed novelists Daniel San Souci, Ruthanne LumMcCunn, Ji-Li Jang, Mary Jo See, Deborah Davis, and Nydia Nicholl. They'll read from their own works and discuss the literary life. Kids are invited to display their own writing, poetry, and art. Prizes and snacks are an extra plus. 5:30 p.m. YWP.nanowrimo.org
