Monotonix Returning to the Bay Area Jan. 28

Tel Aviv's Monotonix will return to the Bay Area on January 28, playing the Rickshaw Stop with local musician Ty Segall. The rock trio is known for its free-for-all live shows, in which the band usually plays on the floor, crowd-surfs (instruments included), and engages in heavy audience interaction. The band will release a new album, Not Yet, on January 25 by Drag City. Here's the first single, “Give Me More”:

And here's Monotonix performing at this year's Treasure Island Music Fest, when they asked everyone to sit down in the mud.
