Re: “Schaaf Fails Her First Big Test

Protests in Oakland end up costing tax payers and business. This is a step in the right direction. Go pick on another city with your so called 'protest' and learn how to influence the policies you want changed. Stop trashing the city we love: Oakland CA!

Re: “A Rough Time for Quan

We need a mayor who will lead and let the metrics speak for themselves. Jean Q. had her chance, let someone else try.

Re: “Oakland Should Unplug the DAC

Oakland needs to take steps to move crime out. I see any tracking system as a way to discourage bad people. Until people feel safe, downtown Oakland will not attract retail and companies. They'll all end up in SF and the surrounding towns.
I say get tough on crime and make Oakland all it can be!

Re: “Reality Check: Violent Crime Is Down in Oakland

Our leaders need to be replaced. Oakland has so much potential to be a place that attracts new business (technology, retail etc). Crime is the #1 reason holding Oakland behind. The bad guys just switched to gun in the face, give me your stuff mentality. Who knows what the flavor will be next year? We need 800+ police. How about an article that lays out how a proposed tax could pass and increase police right away. Measure Y is in the rear view mirror. Help us folks in Oakland dig out of this mess.

Another point: this article seems like an ad for Quan next year (yes - I want more of the same - HAH).
