The mall parking lot out front is an obstacle course of family vans and teens buzzed on Jamba boosts, but inside, Metro just might be the East Bay’s most urbane hangout. Chef Mark Lusardi does Asian fusion with such a delicate lilt it defies genre. There are a few brasserie classics (a nod to the neighborhood) but even those breathe Zen spareness. It all makes Metro feel far from the suburban hubbub lurking just beyond its gorgeous patio.
