Re: “CAGEMATCH: Jethro Tull vs. the Mars Volta

The Mars Volta is easily the greatest band of our generation, let alone put Jethro Tull to shame. TMV plays shows of only improvisation, and it actually sounds good. Unlike Jethro Tull, TMV have arrangements in their music, (i.e. miranda the ghost just insn't holy anymore) If that doesnt sound like cinematic music, i dont know what does. their album Frances the mute is simply amazing mostly because it is basically one 72 minute song =p Plus, TMV mix all sorts of music together (i.e. metal, latin, punk, rock, psychedelic, ambiance, electronica, etc) I have much more, but i tend to rant on these guys enough. so i'll cut it short there.
