I have to agree with the above posts up until the silly comment made by Ed. I listen to all the weekday programs on KPFA and appreciate Flashpoints because it's among the best. It's better than the other shows mentioned and should not suffer more cuts than any other program. It appears management is determining the popularity of the shows by online listenership, but i never listen online, only on-air. Also management's treatment of Nora was unacceptable.

I intended to almost triple my pledge to KPFA in honor of its 60th anniversary this year, but opted instead to keep it the same until the very undemocratic current management ceases in its stranglehold over the station. Also I prefer "Music of the World" to "Letters to Washington" which i believe was only supposed to air for the first 90 days or so after Obama's inauguration. All of the folks i heard from, including those who called in on-air, were unhappy to see it continue in place of "Music of the World" and shared these sentiments.
