Another featherweight Morgan Spurlock documentary. The maker of Super Size Me and The Greatest Movie Ever Sold tackles modern male grooming, and it’s more or less the same type of soft-sell, product-oriented advertorial we’d encounter in the pages of GQ magazine — tips on facial hair, hairpieces, body hair, etc. The talking heads include film producer Judd Apatow, director John Waters, comedian Adam Carolla, and actor Zach Galifianakis, but none of them has anything interesting to add to the discussion. Best segment: the old-school stylist who manufactures rugs in his little New York barber shop. Runner-up: the pro wrestler who has to laboriously shave every inch of his hirsute body before each match in order to maintain the “look.” You’ll forget about this one while you’re still watching it. (96 min.)
Director: Morgan Spurlock
Producer: Ben Silverman, Will Arnett and Jason Bateman
