Love Yo Mama: Putting Environmental Justice Back Into Earth Day

When: Sat., April 25, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. 2009
Price: $1-$10

Apparently we can never get enough Earth Days around here. Saturday, Apr. 25's Love Yo Mama: Putting Environmental Justice Back into Earth Day event puts an urban spin on the hippie tradition. It begins with a parade from East Oakland's Acorn Woodland Elementary School (1025 81st Ave.) to the Tassafaronga Recreation Center (975 85th Ave.), followed by live hip-hop, a health fair with free screenings, food vendors, and speakers. 510-302-0430 ext. 21 or CBECAL.org
