Lou and Peter Berryman

When: Sat., Jan. 24, 8 p.m. 2009
Price: $20.50-$21.50

It's that time of year when funny folkie non-couple Lou & Peter Berryman escape from their homes in Madison, Wisconsin, and visit the much warmer Freight & Salvage (1111 Addison St., Berkeley). On Saturday, Jan. 19, they'll perform old favorites, from the life-questioning "Why Am I Painting the Living Room," to future non-hits from their newest CD, The Universe: 14 Examples. Long ago divorced (they found they made a better musical team when married to others), accordionist Lou and guitarist Peter harmonize on some of the wackiest social commentary since Tom Lehrer's heyday. 8 p.m., $19.50, $20.50.
