Longevity Wines Winemaker Dinner

When: Wed., Aug. 14, 6:30 p.m. 2019
Price: $125
This Wednesday, head to PLaYT “Sideways Southern” Bar & Restaurant in Hayward for a five-course Southern dinner featuring wine pairings from Longevity Wines in Livermore. The winemaker behind Longevity Wines is Phil Long, who has over 20 years of winemaking experience and has produced over 20 varietals. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Long and learn about his wines. Executive Chef Jerome “Spike” Williams, formerly of Picán in Oakland, has created a menu — drawing from Cajun, Creole, and Gullah influences — designed to complement Long’s wines. Proprietor Michael LeBlanc, also formerly of Picán, will also be on hand. This event is hosted by Urban Connoisseurs, whose mission is to support Black vintners and winemakers and help grow the community. Purchase tickets on Urban Connoisseurs’ website, or via Eventbrite.
