Literacy Class

When: Fri., Dec. 21, 10 a.m. 2007
Price: free

You take reading and writing for granted. But just think: Literacy might be the very best holiday gift you can give to someone who needs it. At the San Lorenzo Library (395 Paseo Grande, San Lorenzo), the Alameda County Library's Write to Read program -- which specializes in helping incarcerated local youth get to know and love books, and has been praised by ex-librarian Laura Bush -- hosts a literacy class on Friday, Dec. 21. Its structure and direction will be guided by students' specific needs. 10
