Re: “Burners Torched Over Native Party

I feel the whole thing is crazy. If these kids want to have a party, it is their right. I like indians and their cultures, but really we all must have the ability to laugh at ourselves and get the great big chips off our shoulders. I am tired of the White Guilt that is dumped on white people, because there is no one alive today that took Indian land and there is nothing I can personally do about it. To me these kids doing this is no different than a person dressing up as the pope on Halloween. The Indians need to stop being angry, because it doesn't do any good. I could have a lot of anger about many things myself but I let it go and try to live a good life as possible. I know the Great Spirit wants this animosity to end and to move forward. The past is dead, who shall pay? Retribution on the innocent is wrong. Even Indian tribes have lots of in fighting and discrepancies... so they are guilty against one another....we are all guilty of something and living our life in balance with the Great Spirit's intentions , which is harmony is very important. These kids and many people find the allure of Indian culture fascinating. That is why people like to dress like indians. I did it myself when I was younger and I love the Indians and all people.
