Lil B's "R.I.P. the Rap Game": Hubris?

"Yeah, I just killed the rap game, it's done," Berkeley rapper Lil B announces in the opening of his new video, which is billed as a memorial to his own medium. Sure, the Twitter celebrity-turned-cult icon is no stranger to hubris, and he's not the first person to proclaim the death of hip-hop. But many fans contend that such boasts may finally be warranted, considering how much Lil B has stepped up his own game. An example: I'm so hungry that the bones showin' through my face. It's just one of many visceral images tossed around in this impressive rap, delivered over an oft-used Creative Source sample. Check it out:
