Comedy, Drama
Thoroughly predictable, wildly unrealistic sitcom nevertheless profits from the basic likeability of Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel as – get this – the unmarried, mismatched, blind-date couple who “inherit” a baby girl when her parents die. But that’s no reason to drop everything and watch this time-waster. Lotsa dirty-diaper jokes. Ordinary screenplay by Ian Deitchman and Kristin Rusk Robinson. Harmless network-TV-style direction by Greg Berlanti. (112 min.)
