Liberated Lens Film Collective: A Dark Night of Feminist Comedy by Thalia Drori Ramirez and Cineastas de Granada

When: Sun., March 19, 7-8:45 p.m. 2017
Phone: 408-309-2853
Price: Pay what you can. Nobody turned away for lack of funds.
Comedy shorts by Thalia Drori Ramirez, including her latest film, Squirrel, which features a hilarious performance by Dreamlander Mary Vivian Pearce. Program also includes a comedy by Cineastas de Granada, a video production program for teen girls in Granada, Nicaragua. A discussion with the filmmaker will follow. Thalia Drori Ramirez's films are uncensored female fantasies, focusing on revenge, fear and horror. Like the group hug that turns into an opportunity to cop a feel, her work embraces Hollywood’s comforting and sensuous form, while it simultaneously takes advantage of that form by telling nontraditional stories and using unorthodox content.
