Re: “Same High-Capacity Magazine Linked to Two Oakland Murders

Wow! No news to me because sooner or later ballistics were going to start matching up guns and bullets. Question: Why did it take so long for ballistics to match guns and bullets? That's the first thing they do on all dtective/law shows on television.

Re: “Why a Curfew in Oakland Is Still a Bad Idea

Curfews always wroked in the past, in the 60s/70s, in various States and I am pro-curfew for Oakland youths. Unless you are actually out on the streets of Oakland between the hours of 9 p.m. and 2 a.m., then you do NOT know why it is needed.
With so many parents working swing and night shifts AND with texting and cell phones being the only means of communication between kids and their parents, there is room for these kids to walk the streets and get involved with crime or become innocent bystanders because their whereabouts are not being monitored.
I've sat on my unlit porch during the evenings and watched these kids roam the streets until I got sleepy and went to bed. I have been awakened between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. by arguing and when I peek out of my window, I see a group of youth walking down the street talking loud, cursing, on cell phones, and basically clowning tha time of night. I want to give credit to parents that they don't know their kids are out at that time of night, although I am aware that some parents just don't care or are incapable of caring.
Yes, Oakland needs a curfew!

Re: “Chevron Is the Problem

This a BIG problem with both Chevron and Shell. There is a fire at the Martinez facility of Shell right now. This is RIDICULOUS! They haven't even ordered a shelter-in-place for Martinez but you'd better bet your bottom dollar they notified Alamo and Danville, just like they did during the Richmond fires. As always, the working-class and poor people are expendable but not the rich!
This makes me feel that these fires and “releases” are a form of genocide to kill the elderly, the poor, and the working class, instrumented by the “elite rich political and powerful” group. They want to eliminate entitlement programs for the poor, working class, and seniors so it makes me wonder if these “accidents” are actually staged events just before an election. I put absolutely NOTHING past politicians!
