Laura Goode

When: Sun., Dec. 18, 7 p.m. 2011

The star of Laura Goode's young-adult debut, Sister Mischief, is a teenage Jewish lesbian lyricist whose crew is starting a queer hip-hop revolution in a small Midwestern suburb -- and Goode's readings are no less remarkable. She'll read and answer questions (including, hopefully, at least one about the noir mystery she's working on that concerns the rapture and a Diana Ross/Tina Turner tribute artist) on Sunday, Dec. 18, at Revolution Books (2425 Channing Way, Berkeley). 7 p.m., free. 510-848-1196 or
