Re: “Racial Profiling Via

Patricio Herrera/Patrick Henry - You say that:
"If people don't want to be looked upon with suspicion they can, for the most part, dress and act like "citizens" instead of thugs."

So, by your words, if I wear a hoodie (& likely baggy jeans) I'm dressing like a thug? And I should dress like a citizen? And not hang around on a street corner (plenty of valid reasons for this also). I'm a 5'5 white female in her 40s. I guarantee you that if everything in your post were the same except applied to me, instead of a black person, no one would think twice. It is not the clothes or standing on a corner doing nothing that makes some people think certain people are a drug dealer or mugger. It's the fact that they are black & the person judging is racist.

Have you ever been in the office of a tech startup? Many there would be dressing the same. And hey, they might stand on a street corner waiting for someone or a bus or what have you. No one looks at them strangely. Unless they are black. Or maybe hispanic. But certainly not if they are white - then they are just hipsters waiting for the bus.

Your whole post is racist, even if unintentionally.
