Re: “Handicap-Placard Abusers, Be Shamed

I think it is a BIG mistake to assume that just because a person has no "visible" handicap, i.e. a cane, limp or wheelchair that the person is not disabled. I suffer from MS and I am certain on many days I get looks because I park in a disabled spot, use my placard and walk away from my car. The problem is I look totally normal but I can't stand longer than 15 to 20 minutes and a trip to the grocery store will often be the only amount of walking I am able to do in a day. There are many of us out there with "invisible disabilities" who are dependent on the placards to be able to perform our normal daily activities. While I caution people to assume placards are being misused just by what a person looks like I also think they are obviously being misused as well and would like the abuse to stop.
