To honor a famous UC Berkeley grad who was the first female American Mathematical Society president before she died in 1985, Pixar Animation Studios and UC Berkeley's Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) host the free all-day Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival on Saturday, May 10 at Pixar's headquarters (1200 Park Ave., Emeryville), with booths, puzzles, games, a problem-solving challenge, and other fun activities for kids in grades six to twelve. 8 a.m.
