John Yoo to Testify Before Congress

As much as everyone would like to skip ahead to the next presidency, we're still in the middle of this one, and every now and then we get a fresh reminder. This morning's ugliness comes courtesy of Boalt law professor and torture aficionado John Yoo, who has reportedly agreed to testify about interrogation techniques before the House Judiciary Committee. According to the Associated Press, CIA head George Tenet and Dick Cheney's chief of staff David Addington have not yet agreed to tell what they know about the Bush administration's torture practices.
