Your information and extrapolated data for CA fracking is misleading and wrong. There have been plenty of reports on how much water is actually used in fracking wells in CA and it is nowhere near the claim protesters publish. Water used on lawns and other outdoor Residential uses is 8.4 million acre feet. The amount used in 2012 for fracking in CA was 202 acre feet. 1 acre foot = 326,000 gallons. If we are in a drought, I think the first place to conserve would be to stop watering lawns.
