Beet borscht, quinoa, sesame tahini, and green salad with pears and roasted nuts are among the objectives of "Jewish Spirituality in the Kitchen," a cooking class that includes meditation, chants, and songs at ChochmatHaLev (2215 Prince St., Berkeley) on Sunday, Jan. 24. It's the first in a series of four such classes taught by chefAvishaiPearlson, the founder of Passion Foods. 10 a.m., $45-$55.
