Jerry Kuderna

When: Sat., June 6, 8 p.m. 2009
Price: $12, seniors/students $8

Trinity Chamber Concerts, which alongside the free Hertz Hall Noon Concerts, is Berkeley's low-priced series of choice for quality classical concerts. On Saturday, June 6, at Trinity Chapel (2320 Dana St., Berkeley), the series presents pianist Jerry Kuderna in a special centennial tribute to Joaquin Nin-Culmell. Selections from the former Berkeley resident's Tonadaswill be complemented by Mompou'sMusicaCallada,Villa-Lobos' seldom heard Rudepoema, and short Spain-inspired works by Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel. Kuderna, who now teaches at DiabloValleyCollege, is a first-rank artist who could have easily sustained a major concert career if he had so chosen. 8 p.m., $12-$8. or 510-549-3864
