A key member of the '70s SoCal movement of country/soft rockers who ruled the airwaves and included the Eagles, Jackson Browne, and Linda Ronstadt, J.D. Souther is best known for co-writing hits like "New Kid in Town," "Best of My Love," and "Victim of Love," along with penning the Ronstadt smash "Faithless Love." Re-emerging from a self-imposed 25-year hiatus, the left-leaning political activist is touring behind his new album If the World Was You. Expect plenty of on-stage, pre-inaugural rhetoric at theNoe Valley Ministry (1021 Sanchez St., San Francisco) on Saturday, Dec. 13. 8:15 p.m., $25.
