Re: “The Laney College Opposition

Oakland needs the A's more than it needs your NIMBY complaint.

Re: “New Ballpark Could Devastate Lake Merritt's Birds

Gosh what NIMBYS will do to prevent Oakland from rising. Instead of complaining about how it could possibly be littered in the future they should go clean it now. Go check out how dirty is is right now, and homeless encampment alongside of it as well is what's causing the littering. Also, this area is not Madagascar, nor should we pretend it is.

Re: “Can Oakland Protect Chinatown and Eastlake?

I'm sorry but the median income there is not $17,000. A lot of folks in that neighborhood work under the table and don't report all their income. The median income is 2-3 times that amount. Families can't survive on $17K/year in Oakland, in one of the most expensive cities in the country w/o being on public assistance and sec 8 housing.

Re: “Entire Oakland City Council Declined to Cross Union Picket Line for Mayor Schaaf's State of the City Speech

Here's a list of Total Pay Package for all city of Oakland employees. If this doen't tick you off, then gosh. They are milking the city of money, while majority of Oaklanders are making half their salary package. https://transparentcalifornia.com/salaries…

Re: “Entire Oakland City Council Declined to Cross Union Picket Line for Mayor Schaaf's State of the City Speech

Have you seen how much so many city employees are making, most are making over 100K per year, way above what majority of Oaklanders make, and here they are trying to shut down the city at the expense of tax payers who earn way less. Fire them all Libby and hire new ones.

Re: “Laney Students and Staff Express Concerns About the A’s Ballpark Plans

All these NIMBYS are the reason Oakland lacks opportunities for the poor and working class. They oppose all construction unless it's "affordable housing" which they think Oakland has the means to build them. They claim to be activists for the poor, but in realty they suppress the poor and POC from opportunities. As a person of color, stay the eff away so called "activists." You think you're helping us, but you're doing us more harm than good.

Re: “Oakland Port Board Expected to Approve Ban-The-Box and Living Wage Agreements for Massive New Warehouse Project

So basically, they're going to be given the chance to make minimum wage.
